Cannes Lions Award Ceremony 2025
2025, Cannes - France
For the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2025, held at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes, I worked with PHILEOG Benelux as part of the creative team responsible for the award ceremony stage visuals. It was a privilege to collaborate with such an experienced and inspiring team, whose expertise and creative spirit made the entire process exceptionally smooth and enjoyable. Having produced the award ceremony for Cannes Lions for more than 30 years, PHILEOG Benelux has set the industry standard for precision and visual excellence — and being part of that legacy was both educational and deeply rewarding.
In this project, I created animations for each award category, featuring 3D visualizations of the iconic Cannes Lions statuette, adapted to reflect the unique character of each discipline. The ceremony featured a 27-meter LED screen installation composed of three interconnected panels, designed to deliver a seamless and dynamic visual flow. The system integrated live streaming zones, animated typographic layouts, and real-time previews of the winning works, transforming the stage into an elegant, cinematic environment that perfectly complemented the prestige of the event.
As the world’s most influential festival celebrating creativity in communications, design, and marketing, Cannes Lions represents the pinnacle of creative excellence and innovation. Contributing to the visual identity of such an iconic global event — alongside a team defined by both mastery and warmth — was truly one of the highlights of my career.

Technican Breakdown >>>
For the stage visuals of Cannes Lions 2025, I developed a smart and flexible technical and aesthetic system to support the five-day-long award ceremony, during which more than 30 categories were presented. Each evening featured one to two hours of live performances, with Jury Presidents introducing the categories and winners taking the stage to receive their Cannes Lions statuettes.
To handle this dynamic and fast-paced format, we designed a modular visual framework that could adapt seamlessly to varying timings of presentations, announcements, and transitions. The system ensured continuous visual flow on the 27-meter LED screen while displaying the corresponding award category typography, 3D statuette visualization, and preview of the winning works in perfect sync.
I created loopable, multi-layered animations with dynamic typographic variations for each category, allowing the show to maintain rhythm and consistency despite live timing changes. Additionally, I developed a simulation system to visualize the stage environment from multiple viewpoints within the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès, enabling the creative and technical teams to preview every stage sequence accurately before production.
